1. What inspired you to get into this industry?
I began modeling as a way to gain some confidence as I have never really had much of it. I admired models for their boldness and how they seemed fearless of what others might think of their bodies and how they looked.
2. How long have you been modeling?
I've been modeling for about a year, off and on.
3. Who is your favorite model?
I'd have to say that my favorite model is Sophia Miacova.
4. Were you always comfortable in your own skin and in front of the camera?
Still to this day I'm not super comfortable. I always get extremely nervous and a billion things go through my mind, judging myself on how I'm posing, if I chose the right thing to wear, if I look decent. I don't think I'll ever be fully comfortable with myself but it helps a lot when you have such amazing photographers like Sergio that allow you some sort of comfort.
5. Did you have any mentors who really helped mold and guide you?
I haven't dealt with mentors but I have made many friends out of the photographers that help to show me what to do along with a few model friends that inspire me.
6. Do you have any tips for aspiring models in the industry?
All I can say is do whatever makes you happy and enjoy yourself. Don't conform to what people what to see, fund your own art in your body and show people who you really are.
7. Do you have a WTF moment at a shoot?
I've had a few, all of which are in implied shoots where strangers walk past and I run for something to hide behind. Some knowingly pass which is even more uncomfortable, I know it's probably better to act natural, but I can't help but get extremely nervous when people stare. Even with my clothes on.
8. What are some of the biggest revelations you've discovered through modelling?
I've discovered that beauty isn't something that has a set standard. Everyone has a type, a style, and that your art isn't going to make everyone happy. Some people will judge, some will appreciate it and others will interpret it for something else. But in all, only what you think of it matters.
9. Tell us something random about yourself.
Something random would be that I'm a runner, granted I only ran till the end of freshman year in college but it's always been my release.
10. What are you most proud of?
I'm most proud of my perfectionist mentality, mainly because it doesn't allow for me to just let things be. I always want to do the best in everything I'm involved in.
11. When it's all said and done, what do you want to be remembered as?
I've never really been one to be remembered, but if I could I'd want to be remembered as an inspiration to girls that feel that they aren't good enough. To get past those feelings and accept who you are and embrace it, I still have yet to do so but I'm working very hard. I hope one day I can accomplish that and help others to do the same.
