1. What inspired you to get into this industry?

What inspired me to get into this industry is honestly all the haters. Young people in this generation can be so cruel and horrible to others. My whole life I always had a larger lower body than most girls, I had curves, I had thick thighs and a big butt. But to them I wasn't curvy I was "FAT". I lived most of my life thinking I wasn't pretty or good enough because I thought I was fat. I thought these things because of things people said about my legs or butt the looks, I'd get all of it. So the haters are my motivators as cheesy as that is. I'd like to thank them though, for making me feel so horrible about myself. Why? Because you created this fire inside of me and that fire will not stop burning. I will not stop. I will not quit. I will not give up. I love myself, MY CURVES, I know I'm beautiful and nobody ever again will take that from me.

2. How long have you been modeling?

My first photoshoot was March 12, 2017. I'm super new to this!

3. Who is your favorite model?

I have a few favorites. I like thick models. Ashley Graham, Iskra, and Kaitlyn Anderson would be top three.

4. Were you always comfortable in your own skin and in front of the camera?

Oh Gosh. I was for the longest time the most unconfident insecure person, I thought nothing of myself. I was never ever comfortable with myself growing up. Honestly really up until recently. The modeling has broken me out of my shell finally and it's an amazing feeling.

5. Did you have any mentors who really helped mold and guide you?

ESWIFT, ESWIFT, ESWIFT. Without Emily I couldn't even imagine what I'd do. This girl is so insanely talented at such a young age she's younger than I and I look up to her so much. I'm so beyond blessed to have this human in my life on a personal and professional level. She has taught me so much I don't even know where to begin. She's just amazing and I'll take everything she teaches me and has taught me to the grave.

6. Do you have any tips for aspiring models in the industry?

If you want it, go get it. Fight and fight hard. Don't ever get discouraged. Never quit. There will be tears happy and sad.

7. Do you have a WTF moment at a shoot?

Yes. The worst. I was told by a photographer once on a shoot that because I have a "thicker body" I can't afford the extra bloating so I should never eat or drink before a shoot. For sure wtf.

8. What are some of the biggest revelations you've discovered through modelling?

More now than ever I have really realized who is fake and real in life. People are funny individuals and are very out of sight out of mind operated. Since I started modeling a lot of people who I haven't even spoke to or seen in years reach out to me to try to be my friend. People from good old Somers, NY where I grew up, who I haven't seen in over a decade and never wanted to be my friend let alone look my way, now ask me to hangout or try to be my friend. Some, not all of course. I know who my REAL friends are, as do they. I don't want to be surrounded with people who want to be my friend NOW because of what I do or where I'm going. I'll always remember the real ones, and keep a special place for them in my heart.

9. Tell us something random about yourself.

My little brother Brian is my absolute world. I love that dude so much even when we want to fight each other! My life would not be complete without him. We even have cute sibling tattoos!

10. What are you most proud of?

How far I've come in such a short time and not giving up on myself. I'm proud to say "I'm Shannon Elizabeth and I made it, I did it".

11. When it's all said and done, what do you want to be remembered as?

The girl that never gave up and kept fighting until she made it where she wanted to be.
