1. What inspired you to get into this industry?
I've always been a bit of a 'poser' for photos- from a very young age! Then I actually got into modelling through a friend who asked me to shoot with her. And I haven't looked back since!
2. How long have you been modeling?
Only a year, but I'm loving every minute of it!
3. Who is your favorite model?
I love athletic body types, I find it really inspiring. I think it's great that we're seeing more and more athletic models, and my favourite model has to be Emily Skye because she's become such a role model for women who want to transform themselves.
4. Were you always comfortable in your own skin and in front of the camera?
I've always been pretty comfortable in my own skin as I'm a competitive swimmer, so I'm used to lounging around in a swimsuit. But starting modelling actually gave me a lot of confidence. Shooting with Johan (Yozic Photographie) is absolutely great as he lets me do my own thing, but he really encourages me too. I love being in front of the camera with him!
5. Did you have any mentors who really helped mold and guide you?
All of the models, make-up artists and photographers I've worked with so far have been pretty awesome. Everybody has different inspirations and I love discovering different artistic visions. With Johan, sometimes we plan things out, but sometimes we are really spontaneous, which is so much fun.
6. Do you have any tips for aspiring models in the industry?
Just be yourself. It's OK to look at what other people are doing, and learn from them but it's important to know why you're different and what makes you stand out, too.
7. Do you have a WTF moment at a shoot?
Shooting nude in public is always pretty risky. But I actually find it really exciting!
8. What are some of the biggest revelations you've discovered through modelling?
I love showing off my athletic body, and I think it's important to do so. So many people have told me in the past that female swimmers with big shoulders aren't attractive or that we shouldn't lift too heavy weights. But the female body is so powerful and we should all be able to reach our full potential. And when we succeed, that confidence is so, so sexy. I love shooting with Johan because I think he captures that confidence really well. I love the result.
9. Tell us something random about yourself.
I was always the good girl at school. I'd love people to see me now!
10. What are you most proud of?
I'm proud of the way I handle pressure. With my training, my studies and modelling, I always have a lot on my plate. But I'm motivated, and I work hard. Sometimes I don't talk a lot, just because I'm concentrating on being the best I can be.
11. When it's all said and done, what do you want to be remembered as?
I want to be seen and remembered as a contrast of femininity and athleticism. I've worked hard all my life, but at heart, I'm a girly girl.
12. What else is neat about you?
I'm a competitive swimmer, and I train eleven sessions a week. Swimming has always been my first passion, but I love modelling as I feel like I can show off my strength.
The lingerie in the photos is by Bruno Elie, his underwear brand is Elie Pour Elle. I love his underwear, which is a European brand of great quality. I feel great in it and I think it shows!
