1. What inspired you to get into this industry?

I went to college for marketing and business. I was a professional athlete for a few years while working for a sports apparel company. I have always been business minded. Modeling was another entrepreneurial adventure for me. But wayyy out of my comfort zone and in an industry I knew nothing about. I found it to be an exciting challenge. It's the perfect industry for me to blend my social skills, education and love for living a healthy lifestyle. I was truly inspired by taking a leap of faith into an industry that was so foreign to me. I love the thrill of a challenge!

2. How long have you been modeling?

I have always been involved in photography and modeling, but I started taking it seriously working full time about 2 years ago.

3. Who is your favorite model?

Face like Kate Moss, Attitude like Cara Delevingne, Class like Gemma Ward , Work like Gisele Bundchen. I have NO favorite, I blend all my favorite attributes into the model I want to be.

4. Were you always comfortable in your own skin and in front of the camera?

5. Did you have any mentors who really helped mold and guide you?

In the modeling industry, no. But I have met other entrepreneurs who have mentored me in business. I treat my image as a brand, my career in modeling as a business. So this is just as helpful, maybe even more.

6. Do you have any tips for aspiring models in the industry?

Modeling like any other career is a business. Don't take anything personal.
…Most importantly, a happy model is always the most beautiful.

7. Do you have a WTF moment at a shoot?

Recently I was shooting in Ibiza, Spain. I was on a cute cherry floaty in the ocean. The photographer was standing on a nearby rock ledge, giving me instructions. Because of the current I kept having to paddle to get to the right spot for the photo. While I was paddling, I felt a very sharp and painful sensation. I thought I had cut my hand on a rock, but I looked down and saw no blood. I disregarded the incident and continued. During the entire shoot in the water my hand was in a lot of pain. Then a few moments later the photographer yelled, "watch out"! There was a massive blue jellyfish right by me. Through his camera he could see it right next to me. I quickly got out of the water and realized my hand was twice the size, red and burning. I had gotten stung by a jellyfish and now I have a scar on my hand to prove it!

8. What are some of the biggest revelations you've discovered through modelling?

Modeling has been allowed me to travel to places and meet people I probably would never have met without. It pushed me to visit foreign countries and learn new languages. Make new friends from all around the world. And most importantly it has given me more confidence as an independent woman.

9. Tell us something random about yourself.

I am the youngest of 6 kids.

10. What are you most proud of?

I am most proud of diving into a highly competitive industry with not a single clue of how it works. No guidance, no prior knowledge. Just the belief that I could do it. And a little thing called google to figure out the rest :)

11. When it's all said and done, what do you want to be remembered as?

I want to be remembered as an intelligent business woman. A beautiful model who created an empire. Someone who influences women to educate, nourish and love themselves. That being independent is empowering. And most importantly, that we are powerful beings. I am a strong believer that "what our mind can conceive, it can achieve", you just have to truly believe you can and you will.
