1. What inspired you to get into this industry?
I've always been an artistic person ever since I was young. From as far back as I can remember I was always interested in different forms of art such as visual arts, make-up art, special effects, dance, photography, modelling and more. After meeting Sean and becoming a fan of his work we decided to collaborate on a couple shoots; with him being the photographer and myself doing the make-up, hair and modelling. Through those experiences, I realized how much I enjoy modelling just as much as I love doing make-up on models.
2. How long have you been modeling?
Ironically, I'm not a professional model and I really never planned on that before I actually tried it. I've done some modelling this past year for photographers that have reached out to me and photographer friends that I already knew personally. After dabbling in the industry I realized how much I enjoy collaborating with photographers and with not only the make-up aspect but modelling as well.
3. Who is your favorite model?
I have a huge list of models I am a big fan of, but when it comes down to the art of being able to do many different types of shoots and still killing it no matter what it is, I would have to say Rihanna. Even though Rihanna is more widely known for being a singer and performer, I can't help but fall in love with every shoot I see come out of her. The fact that she can go from natural face, to full glam, to sexy, to edgy and kill the game is crazy.
4. Tell us something random about yourself.
I am a certified fashion make-up and special effects artist. After completing those two courses I am now currently a second year student at Ryerson University for Business Management. I have a strong passion for make-up art because of my passion and love for making women feel confident and beautiful in more ways than one and transforming someone to anything they desire.
5. What are you most proud of?
Being 20, there's not many huge accomplishments yet that I am proud of but I have a few so far. I'm proud of graduating high school, achieving my diploma certificate for fashion and special effects make-up. I'm proud of completing my first year of University and now heading into my second. Naturally, I'm proud of my very diverse background being Guyanese, Portuguese, Indian, Italian, and Scottish. I am proud of the person I'm growing into as I find myself more everyday and all the good qualities that I embody as a person.
6. When it's all said and done, what do you want to be remembered as?
When it's all said and done, I want to be remembered as the empathetic, outgoing, funny and caring person I am. I just love making people around me feel good, and that ties into why I love doing makeup for women as well. I hope to be remembered as an amazing makeup artist as I grow and mature more with experience in my craft. Overall I just hope to be remembered for being amazing at what I do and being someone people love to be around.
