1. What inspired you to get into this industry?
My love of self expression and the opportunity to create with others, to really explore my creative side and meet tons of interesting and inspiring new people.
2. How long have you been modeling?
Approximately a year now.
3. Who is your favorite model?
I have to say I love the classic Victoria's Secret beauties but I really love alternative models like Teale Coco she is so unique and almost mystical.
4. Were you always comfortable in your own skin and in front of the camera?
I've always had an attraction to both sides of the camera.. acne in high school and the beginning of college made it difficult to really let go and I find it difficult even now since I don't have the voluptuous curves that skyrocket other models right to the top. I've finally embraced my frame and have learned to love my body as it was intended.
5. Did you have any mentors who really helped mold and guide you?
I've had tons of support from friends and family, especially my boyfriend who has been my number one fan.. and that has really helped push me to challenge myself and be the best I can be no matter what I do.
6. Do you have any tips for aspiring models in the industry?
Do what makes you happy, it doesn't matter what others think or say because at the end of the day the people who truly matter will always be there to cheer you on through the good times and pick you back up during the bad. If you're happy, success will follow.
7. Do you have a WTF moment at a shoot?
Hahahah yes. Planning one of my first shoots I was sending outfit ideas to a photographer (before I decided I was comfortable in pseudo-boudoir options) and I always went for classy sexy and he responded with "so bringing anything sexy?" So embarrassing and weird but it happens! Just have to move on to the next project.
8. What are some of the biggest revelations you've discovered through modelling?
One of my biggest revelations through modeling is it truly can show you who is really for you and who isn't. Sometimes it's a tough pill to swallow but on the flip side you meet extremely creative, talented, and inspiring new people that make it all worth it.
9. Tell us something random about yourself.
I've said this before but I am a textbook nerd. I love cats, I graduated with a degree in biology, I grew up obsessed with Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones is an addiction, I also love the Tudors, all types of documentaries (from nature to ghost hunting), spending time in the moonlight, and tattoos. I basically just love to learn and expose myself to new things.
10. What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of personal trials and tribulations I have overcome over the years, especially relating to mental health and the like and I have come so far. My closest acquaintances can understand how deep that statement goes and I'm blessed to have so much support.
11. When it's all said and done, what do you want to be remembered as?
I want to be remembered as the pleasant fleeting interaction you had on your way to work, or in line at the grocery store. The passing smile, the how was your day, the comforting hug that you needed when you felt alone. I am a true empath and just want others to feel all the positivity I have to offer.
